TRICARE-Authorized Weight Loss Care
PEAK is an authorized TRICARE provider. We serve active duty service members, dependents, retirees, and reservists from installations across Hampton Roads.
Installations we serve: Naval Station Norfolk, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, NAS Oceana, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Coast Guard Base Portsmouth, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Dam Neck Fleet Combat Training Center, Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, and Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown.
TRICARE coverage: Active duty members typically pay $0 for covered weight loss medications. TRICARE Prime dependents and retirees pay $14 for a 30-day supply or $28 for 90 days. TRICARE Select members pay $28/$56 respectively. We handle all prior authorization submissions in TRICARE-required format, with most PAs processed within 5–10 business days.
Continuity of care: If you have recent labs from your military provider (within the past six months), we can use them. If you PCS or deploy, we provide complete medical records for transfer. Your treatment is managed separately from your unit medical record — we are an off-base TRICARE provider, and your care remains confidential.
TRICARE for Life: TRICARE for Life covers office visits at PEAK but does not cover weight loss medications. Patients with TRICARE for Life may use manufacturer savings programs or self-pay for medications.

Yes. PEAK is an authorized TRICARE provider. Active duty members typically pay $0 for covered medications. TRICARE Prime dependents and retirees pay $14 for a 30-day supply. No. You do not need a referral from your primary care physician. You can call us directly or start online. Note: TRICARE Prime active duty members require a referral through their chain of command before scheduling, even for self-pay visits.
