Evidence-based weight loss, locally delivered
PEAK Wellness & Aesthetics is a medical weight loss practice based in Chesapeake, Virginia, serving patients across the entire Hampton Roads metropolitan area. Our program combines FDA-approved weight loss medications — including Wegovy (semaglutide) and Zepbound (tirzepatide) — with nutrition counseling from a registered dietitian and ongoing clinical monitoring by experienced providers.
Every patient receives a full medical evaluation, ongoing provider visits, nutrition counseling with a registered dietitian, and lab monitoring as part of their treatment plan. We accept Anthem, Cigna, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Sentara, and TRICARE commercial plans. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid plans. Our team handles insurance verification and prior authorizations before your first visit so you know exactly what to expect.
We do not prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications. Every medication we use is manufactured by the original pharmaceutical company, dispensed through licensed pharmacies, and backed by large-scale clinical trial data. Learn more about why we don't prescribe compounded GLP-1s.
Patients from Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and across Hampton Roads receive the same standard of care — thorough evaluations, treatment plans built around your health profile, and ongoing support from a team that treats weight loss as the medical condition it is.
Important safety information: GLP-1 medications carry an FDA boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors seen in animal studies and are contraindicated for patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or MEN2.

Why choose a local practice over telehealth
Telehealth weight loss services have grown rapidly, but they come with significant limitations. Many operate without in-person evaluations, rely on compounded medications that lack FDA approval, and offer little continuity of care. When something goes wrong — a side effect, a prior authorization denial, a plateau — there is often no local provider to turn to.
At PEAK, your care is delivered face-to-face by a clinical team that knows your history. Our providers perform hands-on evaluations, order and review labs in real time, and adjust your treatment plan based on how you are actually responding — not just what you report through a screen. Read our detailed telehealth vs. in-person comparison to understand the differences.
In-Person Clinical Evaluations
Your provider sees you, examines you, and makes treatment decisions based on a complete clinical picture — not a questionnaire.
Insurance & Prior Auth Support
We verify your benefits, submit prior authorizations, and handle appeals when needed. Most telehealth services leave this to you.
Registered Dietitian on Staff
Our dietitian works with you one-on-one to build lasting nutrition habits that support your medication and long-term goals.
FDA-Approved Medications Only
Every medication we prescribe is FDA-approved, manufactured by the original pharmaceutical company, and backed by clinical trial data.
