Mounjaro Cost Without Assistance

Mounjaro is typically high-cost without insurance support. Few patients pay full retail pricing—savings programs, insurance, and other assistance can significantly reduce costs.

Weight management: Mounjaro is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes only, not weight loss. For weight loss, the relevant product is Zepbound with its own savings programs. Mounjaro savings are designed for diabetes patients.

Eli Lilly Mounjaro Savings Card

Lilly’s manufacturer savings card can significantly reduce copays:

  • Eligible patients may have substantially reduced out-of-pocket cost
  • Available for commercially insured patients
  • Not available for government insurance (Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE)
  • Card is processed at the pharmacy alongside your insurance

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible

  • Patients with commercial insurance (employer, ACA, individual plans)
  • Patients whose insurance covers Mounjaro with a copay

Not Eligible

  • Medicare Part D beneficiaries
  • Medicaid patients
  • TRICARE beneficiaries
  • Other government-funded insurance

Government insurance exclusion is a federal requirement under the Anti-Kickback Statute.

Note: PEAK accepts Anthem, Cigna, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Sentara, and TRICARE commercial plans. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

The savings card works best with commercial insurance that covers Mounjaro. If insurance denies coverage, the card may still help but with different savings amounts, depending on current program terms.

Note: Savings program terms, eligibility requirements, and savings amounts can change at any time. Always verify current terms directly with Eli Lilly before relying on specific details.
