A Team Built for Weight Loss

Weight loss is all we do. Our clinicians, dietitian, and support staff work together on every case. That focus means deeper expertise, tighter coordination, and fewer things falling through the cracks.

Our Approach

Every patient gets a prescribing clinician and a registered dietitian working together under one roof — not separate referrals to different offices. When your dietitian spots something in your food journal, your clinician hears about it. When your dose changes, your dietitian adjusts your nutrition plan.

One team. One plan. Your clinician and dietitian work together on every case — not as separate referrals.

Clinical Team

Our prescribing clinicians are board-certified and specifically trained in obesity medicine. They do not rotate through weight loss as one of many service lines — this is their area of clinical focus.

Your first visit is a full clinical evaluation — not a five-minute video call. Your clinician reviews labs, assesses medication candidacy, and builds your treatment plan. Follow-ups track your progress and adjust dosing as needed.

Registered Dietitian

PEAK has a dedicated registered dietitian (RD) who works alongside the clinical team — not as a separate referral you have to seek out on your own. This integration is central to how we deliver care.

Our RD specializes in nutrition during GLP-1 treatment, which presents unique challenges and opportunities that a general nutrition counselor may not fully understand. Key areas of focus include:

When you eat significantly less on GLP-1 medication, proper nutrition guidance prevents muscle loss and nutrient gaps. Our dietitian makes sure the weight you lose stays off.

Insurance & Patient Support

GLP-1 medications like Wegovy and Zepbound often require prior authorization from insurance companies. This process can be time-consuming and frustrating for patients to handle on their own. At PEAK, you do not have to.

Our dedicated insurance and patient support team handles:

No insurance surprises

Our team contacts your insurance provider before your appointment so you know your estimated costs upfront. We accept Anthem, Cigna, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Sentara, and TRICARE (commercial plans). We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid, including Medicaid managed care plans.

Many patients tell us that insurance paperwork is one of the most stressful parts of starting weight loss treatment. We built this support into our team structure specifically so patients can focus on their health, not on paperwork.

Why This Matters

With telehealth-only services, you typically get a remote prescriber and no dietitian, no in-person evaluation, and no insurance support. Med spas may offer GLP-1 injections, but weight management usually isn't their focus. At PEAK, you get a full clinical evaluation, coordinated care between your clinician and dietitian, and staff who handle insurance on your behalf.

Our Credentials

Every member of the PEAK weight loss team brings verified credentials and specialized training to patient care:

The field moves fast — new medications, new clinical data, new insurance rules. Our team stays current because that's the job.
